RACK CLAD WAREHOUSES

RACK CLAD WAREHOUSES are buildings containing high density storage installations. The racking structure itself forms the framework of the building, providing support for both the cladding and the roof.
Given the considerable height rack clad warehouses may reach, up to 30 metres, such installations are usually designed and achieved in conjunction with automated material handling devices such as stacker cranes or similar, allowing for the automated storage and retrieval of the materials stored within the installation.
Compared to traditional warehouse buildings, rack clad warehouses provide substantial savings in terms of cost, allowing for the most cost effective use of available surface areas.
